Our story
We're morning people.
Always have been. There's something about being up before the rest of the world that just hits different, like the whole day is yours for a bit before anyone else gets a say in it. The sun's not up, the phone hasn't gone off, and it's just you and the kettle and whatever you're about to go and do.
That first cup sets everything in motion.
It's the one before the surf, before the early run, before the big day at work or the road trip with the kids or the late night finishing something that actually matters. It all starts the same way.
Coffee in hand, let's go.

We started Brother of Mine because we honestly couldn't find coffee that matched that energy. Everything on the shelf was either months old and tasting like cardboard, or it was wrapped up in pretentious nonsense with tasting notes longer than the ingredient list. We just wanted something that tasted incredible, showed up fresh, and didn't need a degree to enjoy.
Couldn't find it. So we made it ourselves.
Two brothers in Port Kennedy, getting up before the sun, figuring it out as we went. That was nine years ago and honestly not much has changed.

Every bag starts here. We roast in Port Kennedy on Betty, our Probat. She's named after our nan, our inspiration for good hospitality. The roaster has been cooking since 2017 and she does not do fancy. She does consistent.
Who we are
Two brothers from Southampton.
We grew up in Southampton, four of us kids: two brothers and our sisters, Abbie and Polly. Life was pretty simple and we were wild and free. Always outdoors, always around the table at meal times, and never far from a fete, a birthday or a house full of friends and family.
It was the eighties, which was a very cool time to be a kid. The games, the colours and the cartoons all stuck, and you can see them in how we look today. Our nans inspired us then and they still do.
We both started in hospitality at sixteen and have worked just about every corner of it since: restaurants, fast food, nightclubs, bars, pubs, franchises and specialty cafes.
We spent about seven years in Melbourne, fell for Australian culture, and headed west in early 2016. By 2017 we were roasting in Port Kennedy. These days we have families of our own.
We built Brother of Mine to put our love of hospitality into products that let us be creative. Everything we learn, we share with our wholesale partners, because we think education should be fun and should mean something.
We treat people like a brother, because that's how we'd want to be treated.
That is what the brand stands on: something you can relate to, that treats you like a brother. We're here to encourage people.

Not like a company. Like a brother.
The name came from how we wanted to do business. The kind of people who show up every time, not just when it's convenient. Who tell you the truth even when it's easier not to. Who make sure you're sorted before thinking about themselves, and who check in because they actually want to know how things are going, not because there's a renewal coming up.
That's what we try to be for the cafes and restaurants and businesses we work with. Your beans are there before your doors open, every week, no dramas. Your staff know how to dial in the machine because we came in and showed them. And if something's not right you can call us and a real person picks up, usually before the second ring.
That's the deal and it hasn't changed since we started.
And the people who drink it
I discovered you guys back in 2018 when I was posted over in WA. Ever since I've been reordering no matter where I was around the country.
It is delicious and I order it from BOM WA as NSW coffee is terrible. I have been in NSW for 3 years and searched for a coffee to match with no luck.
It's the only beans that I'll have at home for the coffee machine. If it's not BOM.. I'm not drinking it!
Coffee isn't really about coffee.
It's about the moments it creates. The conversation that happens because two people sat down together with a cup. The community that builds when people keep showing up to the same place at the same time. The stranger at Coffee For Life who rocked up on their own and left with five new mates. The family breakfast that kicks off with someone yelling out "I'll put the kettle on."
We fuel those moments, and every bag we roast and every delivery we make and every relationship we build comes back to that.
The kind of company we think you'd want to know.
We take the craft seriously but not ourselves. We're here to have fun, make stuff we're genuinely proud of, and have a good time doing it. We love learning new things, creating something out of nothing, and finding better ways to do what we do. We reckon if you're not enjoying the process then what's the point. Life's too short to be boring about coffee.
We exist for the people we serve. We put on a show but you're the star, never us. Whether you're a cafe running fifty kilos a week or someone at home who just wants their morning coffee to be really, really good, we want you to feel like you're dealing with people who actually give a damn.
We show up
Every time. Not when it's convenient. Your coffee is there before you need it. That's the promise and we've kept it for nine years.
We have fun
It will be fun to work with us. We take the product seriously and nothing else. If we're not enjoying it then we're doing it wrong.
We keep learning
Every day we try to be better than yesterday. Better coffee, better systems, better service. We're obsessed with getting it right.

We exist for the people we serve. Your experience matters more than our ego. Always has, always will.

We're not the biggest roaster in Perth and we're not trying to be. We're the one that shows up.
